[Committee on preservation of Timber]

On motion of Mr. Campbell, Ordered that the committee on State Lands be requested to enquire into the expediency of making further provision in the Laws for the preservation of Pine Timber on the State's Land, with leave to report by Bill otherwise: sent down for concurrence : concurred.-

Bill additional to the act regulating the Herring Fishery, was read and passed to be engrossed with an amendment : sent down for concurrence : concurred Feb. 9th.-

Bill to annex a part of Buxton to Standish came up, and the House adopt a further amendment, in which the Senate concur and pass the same to be engrossed.-

[Committee on Probate Bonds]

Order pf the House that the Committee on New Trails be instructed to enquire into the expediency of passing an act additional to the act regulating suits on Probate Bonds, came up for concurrence, and was read and concurred.-

Bill additional respecting Lotteries, came up with an amendment : Read and referred to Messrs Anderson, Usher and Wellington.-

[Resolve]

Mr. Campbell from the committee, on the Governor's message of the 30th Ulto [?] relative to the accounts of Indian Agents, reported a Resolve in favor of Samuel F. Hussey and Jackson Davis, which was read once and committed, and Monday at 10 oclock assigned for a 2d reading.-
