At the request of Mr. Tallman, leave of absence was granted him during the remainder of the Session from and after Monday next, the 27th Inst. -

[Report of Com: of Bill concerning Highways]

On motion of Mr. McDonald, the Senate went into a Committee of the whole, Mr. Morrill in the chair, on the passage of the bill providing for the laying out and repairing highways to be engrossed, and after some discussion upon the merits of the Bill, the committee rose and reported that the same out to pass. -

[Report on Banks &c]

Mr. Tallman from the committee, reported on the returns of the several Banks in this State, that they were respectively found to be made according to law, and that they did not deem it necessary that said Banks should be examined by a special committee: - Read, accepted and sent down for concurrence: came up concurred.

[Bill additional to an Act directing the mode of laying out & repairing Highways]

Bill additional to an act directing the method of laying out, and making provision for the repair and amendment of Highways, was read a second time and passed to be engrossed with amendments; sent down for concurrence. -
