Bill to incorporate the Augusta and Bangor Stage Company was read twice and passed to be engrossed; sent down for concurrence. -

[Message requesting the Bill divide North Yarmouth]

Message from the House by Mr. Child their Clerk. - "Mr. President, The House of Representatives request that the Senate would send down the Bill additional to an Act to divide the Town of North Yarmouth and incorporate the westerly part thereof into a town by the name of Cumberland, with the accompanying papers, that the House on their part may appoint a Committee of conference upon the difference of the two Houses upon the said Bill." -

On motion of Mr. Bond, ordered that Messrs. Bond and Killeran be a Committee to consider the expediency of providing by law a new mode of making returns of Banks, with leave to report by Bill or otherwise. -

[reconsideration of vote to N Yarmouth]

The Senate reconsidered their vote by which they appointed on their part a Committee of conferrence [conference] on the difference of the two Houses upon the Bill relative to the division of North Yarmouth, and the papers were sent down, with a message informing them of the same. -
