Petition of the Portland Stage Company for an extension of the powers granted them by their act of incorporation, was read & referred to the committee on Manufactures. Sent up for concurrence.

The House reconsidered their vote of yesterday agreeing to hold down two sessions each day after today.

Message from the Governor.

To the Senate & House of Representatives,

   I transmit for the information of the Legislature the report of Charles S Daveis Esquire the Agent appointed by the Executive of this State, to inquire into and report upon certain facts relating to aggressions upon the rights of the State of Maine and of individual citizens thereof by inhabitants of the Province of New Brunswick.
