[Resolve in favor of Bennett Pike] Resolve in favour of Bennett Pike passed to be engrossed in the House, came up for concurrence, was read once and committed to Messrs. Wheeler, Usher and Steel, and tomorrow at 10 O'clock assigned for 2nd reading.

[order respecting Warrants &c.] On motion of Mr. Wheeler ordered that the Joint Standing Committee on New Trials be instructed to enquire into the expediency of further regulating by law the proceedings upon Warrants issued by Justices of the Peace, with leave to report by bill or otherwise. Sent down for concurrence, and came up concurred.

[order for printing Rules & orders of Senate] On motion of Mr. Steel, ordered that the Secretary of the Senate procure to be printed fifty Copies of the Rules and orders of the Senate, for the use of the Members.

[order for the Sec'y of State to employ a person to draft Bills &c] On motion of Mr. McDonald, ordered that the Secretary of State be requested to employ some suitable person whose duty it shall be to assist the members of the Legislature in drawing and copying Bills and Resolves. Sent down for concurrence and came up concurred.
