Resolve for providing public buildings for the use of the State was taken up.- Mr. Megquier proposed the following amendment be substituted for a part of the original Resolve viz "Resolve that there be and hereby is appropriated for the purpose of erecting and completing public buildings for the use of the State, the sum of sixty thousand Dollars, And the Treasurer of this State is hereby authorized to borrow, on the faith of the State, from time to time for the purpose aforesaid, a sum of money not exceeding Sixty thousand Dollars at a rate of interest not exceeding five per centum per annum." and the question on adopting this amendment was decided in the negative by yeas and nays as follows
