The Board came to order pursuant to adjournment

Bill to change the names of certain Banks, came back from the House, amended and the Senate reconsidered their former vote, adopted the amendment and passed the same Bill to be engrossed in concurrence,

[Order respecting Returns of School Districts]

On motion by Mr. Pond, Ordered that the Secretary of State furnish the Senate with an abstract of the "Returns of the number of School Districts &c in his possession made by the Selectmen of towns and the Assessors of plantations, as required by the fifth section of the act in addition to an act to provide for the education of youth

On motion by Mr. Williams the Senate reconsidered their vote whereby they passed to be engrossed the "Bill to prevent Drunkenness" and refused the same a passage, Sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred,

Mr. Churchill from the Committee on that part of the Governor's message relating to internal improvements on an order reported a "Resolve for completing the State road from Barring to Holton plantation, which was read a first time, and having been ordered to a second reading was again read and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred

Mr. Churchill form the same Committee, on the petition of James Cummings and others, reported a Resolve making further provision relating to the State road
