Resolve respecting grants of land for public purposes referred in the House to the Committee on the Judiciary came up for concurrence & the Senate concurred.
The Engrossed Bill granting a Lottery for the benefit of the Bridge at Sullivan Ferry was, on motion taken up and passed to be enacted
Mr. Churchill from the Committee on Engrossed Bills reported the following to be truly copied viz
Bill to incorporate the seven mile Brook Dam Company and Bill to incorporate the Thomaston Mechanic Association and the same were severally passed to be enacted
Mr. Scamman from the Committee Accounts reported "Resolve authorizing the Governor to appoint an Auditor to adjust the accounts of the State Prison" which was read a first time and tomorrow, 10 oclock assigned for a second reading -
