Stebbins and Dunlap with such as the House may join be a Committee to inform the Governor that the Senate and House of Representatives have passed upon all the public business which has come before them and agreed to adjourn without day, and to inquire whether he has ant communication to make to them at this time, and on this separation to express to him, in behalf of the Legislature, their affectionate and respectful sentiments, their sense of the diligence and ability with which he has devoted himself to the interests of the State, and their cordial wishes for his personal prosperity and happiness. Mr. Scamman from the Committee on Engrossed Bills, reported the following to be truly copied viz.

Bill to apportion and assess on this State a tax of Forty nine Thousand nine hundred and ninety one Dollars and ninety seven cents,

Bill additional to promote the sale and settlement of public Lands,
 +
and
 +
Bill additional regulating Judicial Process & proceedings, and the same were severally passed to be enacted

and also
 +
Resolve respecting Clerk hire in the office of the Secretary of State and for other purposes

and
 +
Resolve in favor of Seward and Charles Merrill and the same were finally passed
