Gentlemen
Understanding that the Office of Agent for the Penobscot Tribe of Indians will soon be vacant and that in consequence a new appointment will be made we would beg leave to recommend Mr F. H. Dillingham of our city as being well qualified to discharge the duties of said Office in a manner acceptable to all concerned and would ask that he may be appointed to said Office
