[1824] [Pet. of Selectmen of Farmington] Petition of the Selectmen of Farmington for a law to prevent setting fires, was read and referred to the Committee on New Trials. Sent down for concurrence and came up concurred.

[Petitions referred] The following Petitions committed in the House to the Joint Standing Committee on New Trials, came up for concurrence, viz: Petition of the Selectmen of Cornish to have the doings of said town made valid Petition of John Norton and others of Eastport for the erection of a Jail, and that the Court of Sessions may invest funds in their possession for that purpose. Petition of Ebenezer C. Felker and others of Concord to make valid the doings of that town; Petition of the Selectmen of Waterford that the Tax Bills of said Town for the year 1819, 1820 & 1821 be made valid; Petition of Moses Emery of Poland for a New Trial; Petition of Roland Tyler of Dixmont that Moses Patten Administrator of the Estate of Charles Hammond be authorized to make a deed of 2 shares of the Court House at Bangor; Petition of Sarah Pike and others Administrators of the Estate of John Pike to give and received division deeds of lands divided for and in behalf of the deceased estate; Petition of Elizabeth Nightingale for authority to sell all the right of Joseph Nightingale to certain lands in the State of Maine; Petition of Benjamin White and others of Otisfield to have the doings of said Town made valid; Petition of the Inhabitants of Clinton to have the doings of that town made valid;
