Mr. Williams from the Conferees on the part of the Senate on the disagreement of the two Houses in relation to the Bill prohibiting public treats on days of election reported that, having met the Conferees on the part of the House, they had been unable to agree upon any modification of the provisions of said Bill, and recommend an adherence by the Senate to their vote refusing to adopt the second new draft of this Bill and the Senate having accepted the Report of the Conferees, voted to adhere accordingly.

Bill to incoporate the Mutual fire Insurance Company of Wiscasset, as amended and Resolve authorizing the Penobscot Tribe of Indians to sell Nicatau Island, as amended, were severally read a second time and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence.

[left] Bill - Piscataquis Canal Bill to incorporate the Proprietors of the Piscataquis Canal came up amended. The Senate nonconcurred the House in their proposed amendment, further amended and passed the same to be engrossed as thus amended. Sent down for concurrence.
