Mr Pond of Bucksport rose in his seat & informed the House that having been notified by the Secretary of State of his election to fill the vacancy in the County of Hancock occasioned at the Senate Board by the resignation of Mark Sheppard and having signified his acceptance, he now resigned his seat as a member of this house – and he vacated his seat accordingly – whereupon on motion of Mr Deane it was

Bill to incorporate the General Hospital of Maine taken from the last years files of the Senate, came from the Senate referred to Messrs Greene & Churchill with such as the House may join – and the House concurred and Messrs Adams of Portland, Alden of Brunswick & Bridgham of Leeds were joined.
