A discussion took place on this motion, which was interrupted by a molten from Mr Boutelle, that a message be sent to the officiating governor informing him that a quorum were assembled and requesting his attendance at the Representative Chamber to qualify the Representatives elect, to enter upon the discharge of their  official duties - Mr Boutelle was charged with the message.

Accordingly the officiating Governor, attended by the Council, & Secretary of State, preceded by Joseph M Georish [?] Esquire a Coroner for the County of Cumberland, came in when the members elect, took and subscribed the oaths required by the Constitution to qualify them to enter upon the discharge of their Official duties - The governor & those who attended him then withdrew -
