9 Afternoon - Met according to adjournment

Ordered that the Clerk of this House be requested to appoint some suitable person, forthwith to assist him in the duties of his office - read and passed - and Albert Gallatin Jewett was appointed accordingly.

The committee appointed to contract with a Door Keeper and Page, reported that they had contracted with Thomas Baker to perform those services by himself and another and a Page at four dollars & fifty cents per day - and the report was accepted
