[Resolve] Resolve in favour of Theophulus Dow & Evis Ward, was read once and, committed, and tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for 2d Reading.

[Report on the Treasurers Report] Mr. Dennett from the committee to whom was referred the treasurers annual Report, reported that they had carefully examined the same, and find the items of expenditures charged, to be well vouched & correctly cast, and that the balance of cash as stated in said Account, of $ 19,035.92 ¢, they find to have been in the hands of the Treasurer of the 31st day of December 1828. Read, accepted and sent down for concurred. Came up concurred.

[Report on Petition] Report on the Petition of the town of Portland for leave to raise money to purchase stock in the Cumberland and Oxford Canal, together with the Remonstrance of Sundry Inhabitants of Portland against said Petition, were recommitted. Sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred.

[Resolve] Resolve on the Petition of Levi Thaxter was read and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence.

[Committee on poor debtors act] On motion of Mr. Chandler Ordered that the Committee on New Trials be instructed to enquire into the expediency of passing an Act in addition to & explanatory of, that part of an Act entitled an Act for the relief of Poor Debtors passed the 9th of Feb last which relates to such poor Debtors committed for debt, and claiming relief as paupers - with leave to report by Bill or otherwise.
