Bill - making further provision for legal process -
 
- additional to an act providing for the government of the State Prison, and for the punishment of Convicts -
 
- to prevent the destruction of fish in Sebasticook River -
 
- providing for the organization of towns, destitute of Town Officers -
 
- to incorporate the Oxford Lodge -
 
- additional to an act concerning the assessment & collection of taxes -
 
which were severally passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.
 
  
An order came from the Senate for concurrence, directing the Secretary of the Senate and Committee on the Pay Roll of the House, to make up the Pay Roll of the members including Monday next - and the House amended the order by striking out "Monday" & inserting "Tuesday" and then passed the order as amended. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - to incorporate the Mousam Canal Company, was read a 1st & 2d time & this afternoon at three oclock assigned for a third reading.

The committee on the Judiciary to whom was referred the Resolve requesting the Governor to make application to the Secretary of War for the service of a Topographical Engineer, in this State, reported a reference of the subject to the next Legislature - and the report was accepted. Sent up for concurrence.
  
Bill - additional to the act respecting the inspection of lime and lime casks, came from the Senate refused a passage for concurrence - and the House so far reconsidered their former votes as to concur the Senate.

Bill - additional to an act to enforce the payment of Bank notes and for other purposes, came from the Senate in a new draft for concurrence and the House refused to concur and postponed the subject indefinitely. Sent up for concurrence.
  
Bill - granting a Lottery for the benefit of Primary Schools came from the Senate that body adhering to their vote passing the same to be engrossed - and the House adhered to their vote postponing this Bill indefinitely.

Resolve relating to the State Printing, came from the Senate in a new draft for concurrence - The question  "Will the House recede from their former vote passing the Resolve" was decided in the negative by yeas & nays as follows (see appendix page 333) Yeas 39 - Nays 51. & so the House nonconcurred the Senate in passing the new draft.

Sent up for concurrence.
