[Bill] A message was then received from the House informing that they had amended the engrossed Bill respecting public show and exhibitions, by adding a proviso at the end of the 2d section ; and requesting the concurrence of the Senate : The amendment was then read & adopted by the Senate, and a message was sent to the House informing then of the same.-

[Major General Chosen] A message was received from the House informing that had elected on their part, Brigadier General John Balkam, Major General of the 7th Division of the militia of the State, in concurrence with the Senate.-

[Report on Petition] Mr. Chandler from the committee on petition of Nathan Cummings and als. reported that they have leave to bring in a Bill : read, accepted and sent down for concurrence ; concurred.-

[Bill] Mr. Campbell from the committee on an order upon that subject, reported a Bill respecting Representatives in classed Districts, which was read once and committed, and tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 2d reading.-

[Committee to enquire respecting business] Order of the House that Messrs Morrell, Sturdivant and White, with as the Senate may join, be a committee to consider and report what further business requires the attention of the Legislature, and when a recess cane be had consistent with the public interest, came up for concurrence : concurred and Messrs Wheeler and Usher were joined.-
