Met according to adjournment.

The committee on both Houses to enquire when this Legislature may have a recess, reported that the Legislature may have a recess on Tuesday the 12th day of February instant - read & accepted Sent up for concurrence.

On motion of Mr Mitchell of Freeport Ordered, that from and after tomorrow, this House have two sessions each day till the end of this session, to commence in the forenoon at half past nine oclock and in the afternoon at three oclock - read & passed.

On motion of Mr Adams of Portland, Ordered, that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to consider the expediency of authorizing towns to lay out town or private ways or streets over and along any lands over which the tide waters flow; subject to such remedies for damages as are now provided by law in case of town or private ways - read & passed. Sent up for concurrence

Petition of Roger Merrill & al of Brunswick to be incorporated for the purpose of erecting a Public House in said town, came from the Senate referred to the committee on Parishes &c - for concurrence - and the House concurred

Bill - repealing an act regulating the fees of Jurors, came from the Senate passage refused - and the House concurred with the Senate.

Resolve in favor of Caleb Jewett & als, was read a second time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.
