Agreeably to assignment the two Houses met in convention for the purpose of electing a Treasurer of State Messrs Sweat, Kavanagh, Hyde, Humphrey and Richardson appointed a committee to receive, sort and count the votes reported that the whole number of votes given was 162 Necessary to constitute an election 82 Mark Harris had 84 and was declared duly elected and the convention separated.
