[Report on Resolve of Joshua Carpenter] Mr Williams from the committee on that part of the Governors message relating to internal improvement to whom was committed resolve in favor of Joshua carpenter and an order to inquire into the expediency -

[Resolve - opening a road to Matanawcook Stream]

reported a resolve additional for opening and clearing a road from the south line of township no. 2 old Indian purchase on the east side of Penobscot river to Matanawcook stream and the same was read once and tomorrow 10 o’clock assigned for a second reading and the committee recommend the postponement of resolve in favor of Joshua carpenter until the last resolve shall have been acted upon read and accepted sent down for concurrence concurred

[Resolve - Gardiner Lyceum on pet. of N. Weston Jr] Mr Cushman from the Committee on Literature &c on the petition of Nathan Weston Junr reported resolve in favor of Gardiner Lyceum and the same was read once and tomorrow 10 o’clock assigned for a second reading

[Bill - to cede to U.S. certain lands on pet. of Dan. Granger] Mr Emery from the committee on petition of Daniel Granger reported bill to cede to the United States the jurisdiction of certain tracts of land in Saco and Biddeford and the same was read once and tomorrow 10 o clock assigned for a second reading

[Pet. of Geo Siedenspaker - from files] On motion by Mr Herrick the petition of George Sidensparker was taken from the files and referred to the committee on parishes &c Read and accepted sent down for concurrence concurred

[leave for bill on pet. of Jo McLean & al] Mr Dennett from the Committee on Incorporation of towns reported leave for a bill on the petition John McLean and others. Read and accepted sent down for concurrence [Resolve -Old Town Bridge Corpo.]

Resolve in favor of Old Town Bridge Corporation was taken up and referred to Messrs Williams Herrick and Sweat.
