Ordered that the report of the Committee on State Lands stating the amount of Lands sold and the sums expended in payment of Salaries &c be recommitted, together with the communication of the Treasurer of this State, containing a statement of the amount paid from the Treasury to the Land commissioners with instructions to said Committee to designate the several sums expended in payment of Salaries, Agencies, making bridges & roads, & other incidental expenses relating to the Land Agents department, and particularly the amount expended for agencies, for detecting trespasses and in law suits, and to embrace within their report the amount of all the receipts and expenditures relating to the sale & settlement of the State Lands since Maine be came [became] a State. – read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.
