Order of the House of Representatives that the Committee on Literature &c be instructed to inquire into the expediency of making an additional appropriation for the education of the Dear and Dumb on the State was read and passed in concurrence,
[Resolve Tax]
Resolve laying a tax on the several Counties in this State was read once and tomorrow 10 oclock assigned for a second reading, committed to Messrs Meqquier, Dennett and Cushman.

Bill to prevent the destruction of fish in the Cobscook River in the town of Whitney came up amended for concurrence and the Senate concurred,

Bill to establish the Kennebec Lumber Association referred the House of Representatives to the next Legislature and ordered to be public in all the Newspapers in the Counties of Kennebec and Somerset in which the Laws of the State are published, came up concurrence and the Senate concurred.

Bill additional to the several Ads now in force respecting, highways, came up amended, the Senate adopted the purposed amendments in part and passed the Bill to be engrossed as thus amended sent down for concurrence,
