Mr. Dennett from the Joint Select Committee appointed by order of January 22nd, directing them to inquire whether the Laws relating to the election of State Officers by the People in pursuance of the Constitution need any alteration or amendment, also to inquire what alterations or amendments the public interests require in the Laws relating to organization of Plantations, reported that the Committee had not been able to agree upon the principle of any such amendments, and ask to be discharged from the further consideration of those subjects.  Read and accepted.  Sent down for concurrence.  concurred.
