    Ordered, that the joint standing on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire to the expediency of so altering the 4th Sec. of an Act additional to the several acts respecting Highways passed Feb 23rd 1828 as to allow towns & plantations having a population of more than 800 inhabitants to raise a greater sum for the repairing and building of bridges than said section authorizes, & to assess the same, as is provided in the nineteenth section of an act respecting Highways passed March 2nd 1821 or of amending or repealing any part or parts of said Acts, read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.
