On motion of Mr. Churchill, Ordered that the Justices of the Supreme Judicial Court be requested to give to the Senate their opinion on the following question, “Are the first section of the Act, Chapter one hundred and twenty seventh, and the eighth section of the Act, Chapter one hundred and twenty fourth, or either of them, so far as they provide that certain expences therein mentioned, shall be at the charge of the State, changed, annulled or repealed, by the eighteenth section of the Act, Chapter one hundred and twenty second?” And to communicate their answer to the Secretary of State; who is hereby directed to publish the same in the news papers in which are published the laws of the present session. -
