[Petitions referred] Petition of Andrew Bradford & others, in behalf of the East Washington Artillery Company, for a grant of four hundred dollars to build a Gun-House, was read and referred to the Joint Standing Committee Petition of Libbeus Bailey & others, that the name of the first Evangelical Congregational Church Society may be changed to the Central Congregational Society of Eastport, was read and referred to the Joint Standing Committee on the Incorporation of Parishes in concurrence. Petition of Nathaniel Treat & others, for an allowance for deficiency in Land purchased of the State, was read and referred to the Joint Standing committee on State Lands, in concurrence. Petition of Nathan Hills & others, for a grant for loss sustained in fulfilling a contract with the Warden of the State Prison, came from the House referred to the Joint Standing Committee on Claims for concurrence. It was read, and the Senate nonconcurred the House in their reference, and referred the same to the Joint Standing Committee on the State Prison. Sent down for concurrence.
