Bill - in addition to the several Acts for the regulation of Inholders Retailers and common Victuallers, reported by the committee to whom was referred the Governors Message of the 29th Jany with the accompanying letter of Major Clark, commanding officer at the Hancock Barracks, was read 1st & 2d time & Wednesday next at 10 o clock assigned for a 3d reading.

Resolve authorizing the Governor to negotiate with the Penobscot Indians for the transfer of two townships of land to the State, reported by the committee on State Lands, was read & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Abiel Hall Junr & als citizens of Alfred, referred in Senate to Messrs Drummond & Bodwell with such as the House may join, came down for concurrence - and the House concurred and joined Messrs Appleton of Alfred, Sawyer of Porter & Watts of St George.

Petition of Charles Hogan, praying that he, and his sureties - may be discharged from prison for reasons set forth, was read & referred to Messrs Eaton of Bowdoin, Jewett of Bowdoinham & Ludden of Canton.
