Hasey to the post of first or second Lieut in one of the companies of the 18th Reg now being organized in this city. He is now a non-commissioned officer in Co I second Maine Regt now at the seat of war. Col Roberts will recommend him as every way qualified and worthy - Col Chaplin of the 18th desires his appointment , knowing him intimately, and if desired by you I will forward to you their written recommendations and certificates of qualifications.
