I take the liberty of addressing you ( as I know of no other method ) in regard to the money which I ought to receive from the state which you represent.
My husband enlisted one year ago last May in the 2nd Maine Reg't from Bangor, and during that time I have not received aid either from him or the state.
I have two children, ages 7 and 4 yrs; they have both been sick
