Ordered that in case the Assessors of any town or Plantation shall neglect to make true & perfect returns of the polls & estate within the same agreeably to law that the Committee on the State Valuation be directed to ascertain the polls & estate which ought to have been returned & shall further be authorized to take such measures as they may think proper to correct any informal imperfect or erroneous return.
