                In obedience to the order of the Senate that the Governor be requested to communicate to that Board whether any and if any what instructions were given to Joshua Carpenter relative to two journies performed in Nov. and Dec. last to settle his accounts as Agent appointed under a Resolve passed Feb. 6th. 1820. I have the honor to state that no instructions were given relative to the journies mentioned.
