[Message from the Govr.] The Secretary of State came in with a written message from the Governor, which with the accompanying documents were laid on the Table.
[Order concerning Logs.] Order from the House of Representatives, appointing Messrs. Bradbury of Hollis, Clifford and Frost, with such as the Senate may join, a Committee to enquire into the expediency of altering an addition act to secure to owners their property in logs, masts, and spars, and other timber, passed March 15, 1830, read and concurred, and Messrs. Hinds and Pike were joined.
[Order Instructing the Judiciary Comtee. &c.] Order from the House instructing the Committee on the Judiciary to enquire into the expediency of authorizing Courts of Probate to grant licences [licenses] for the sale of real estate in cases where the Supreme Judicial Court are now authorized to grant the same. Read and passed in concurrence. -
[Portions of the Governor's Message of this date refered.] On motion of Messrs. Kingsbery, Ordered, that so much of the Governor's message of this Date, as relates to the report of the Agent to superintend the sale of the public lands, be refered to the Joint Standing Committee on State Lands.
