Report on Petition of Inhabitants of Whiting granting leave to withdraw came from the Senate accepted for concurrence and the House nonconcurred and committed the same to the Committee on Division of Towns - sent up for concurrence.

The House resumed the consideration of the Bill to divide the town of Berwick and to incorporate the Easterly part thereof into a town by the name of North Berwick was read a third time and passed to be engrossed as amended on sheets annexed marked A and G - sent up for concurrence.

Bill - authorizing the County Commissioners for the County of York to lay out a Highway over the tidewaters of the Kennebunk River came from the Senate passed to be engrossed as amended on sheet annexed marked B and it was moved by Mr. Bourne of Kennebunk to substitute a new draft which he presented instead of the original Bill and the question thereupon was taken by Yeas and Nays as follows - Yeas 48, Nays 60 and the original Bill was then read a third time - the amendment of the Senate adopted and the Bill passed to be engrossed in concurrence.
