On motion of Mr. Smith of Portland, Ordered, that Messrs. Smith, Bailey of Parsonsfield & Hall of Bowdoin be a committee with such as the Senate may join to consider the expediency of providing for the erection of a Powder House for the use of the State near the State Arsenal in Portland, sent up for concurrence.

Report of the Joint Select Committee to whom was referred an order requesting them to ascertain what further business there is to be acted upon the present session and when the Legislature may have a recess, that a recess may be had on Monday the 27th came from the Senate accepted for concurrence and the House concurred.

Report on the petition of the inhabitants of Cornville, referring the same to the next Legislature, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence and the House nonconcur and recommit the same to the Committee on the Division of Towns. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve to admit Zebah Washburn to practice law as an attorney, came from the Senate having been refused a passage, for concurrence and the House recede from their former vote passing the same to be engrossed and refuse the same a passage in this House in concurrence.

Bill to incorporate the Manufactures and Traders Bank was read once and tomorrow at ten o'clock assigned for a second reading.
