The petition of the inhabitants of Plantation No. 23 in the County of Washington praying to be incorporated into a town by the name of Beddington. Read and referred to the Joint Standing Committee on Incorporation of Towns. Sent down for concurrence.

Mr. Talbot from the Joint Standing Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges and Canals, reported leave to withdraw on the petition of Joshua Briggs and others Also on the petition of Samuel M. Quincy and others which reports were severally read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence.

The same Gentlemen from the same Committee to whom was referred the petition of Luther Pierce and others, reported that legislation on the subject is inexpedient. Read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence.

Bill to incorporate the town of Byron Bill to incorporate the town of Wesley passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence.

The petition of Charles G. Bryant and others for organizing the Militia. Read and referred to the Joint Standing Committee on the Militia. Sent down for concurrence.

Bill to alter the time of holding the Supreme Judicial Court in the County of Cumberland. Read a second time and passed to be engrossed in concurrence.
