Tibbets and sundry other inhabitants of the town of Lisbon for a new county, severally read and referred to the Committee on Division & alteration of Counties in concurrence.
The Joint Select Committee appointed to consider the expediency of passing resolutions in relation to the removal of the Deposits, and the rechartering of the Bank of the United States made a report submitting a Preamble and Resolves, which was read & accepted; & the question of passing the same to be engrossed in concurrence with the House being ordered to be taken by yeas and nays, was decided in the affirmative as follows, to wit; Yeas, Messrs Allen, Bradbury, Bridgham, Brown, Cobb, Cogswell, Chandler, Farnsworth, Frye, Groton, Howard, Knowlton, Kelsey, Labaree, Manning, Pease, Pierce, Porter, Rogers, Smith, Tobin & Williamson 22. A message was received from the Governor communicating the report of Inspectors of the State Prison at Thomaston which was read and laid on the table, and ordered that four hundred copies be printed for the use of the Legislature.
