I hereby Certify, That Caleb Ginn [name handwritten] of Belmont, [handwritten] Maine, a Private [handwritten] of Captain [blank] Company of [blank] [both "of Captain" and "Company of" crossed out] in the Detachment commanded by Lieutenant Dunning [handwritten] of the drafted Militia of Maine, was born in Bucksport, [handwritten] in the State of Maine [handwritten] is aged 24 [handwritten] years 5 [handwritten] feet and 9 [handwritten] inches high, light, [handwritten] complexion, blue [handwritten] eyes, light, [handwritten] hair, and by profession, when called into actual service by the State of Maine for the protection of its Northeastern Frontier, a Farmer.
