In Convention
Agreeably to assignment, the two Houses of the Legislature met in Convention for the purpose of qualifying Samuel Moore, Counsellor elect.
On motion of Mr. Cogswell of the Senate, ordered that a message be sent to Samuel Moore, Counsellor elect, informing him that both branches of the Legislature are now assembled in Convention, and are ready to administer to him the necessary oaths to qualify him to enter upon the discharge of his official duties; which message was delivered by Mr Cogswell and forthwith Samuel Moore came in, and before the President of the Convention, and in presence of both branches of the Legislature, took and subscribed the oaths required by the Constitution to qualify him to enter upon the discharge of his official duties; and the Convention separated.
