306 The committee on engrossed Bills reported as correctly engrossed, Resolve relating to land in township No. five, second range, north of Million acres, Resolve in favour of Waterville College Resolve in favour of Samuel Seavey and Thomas Trundy, Resolve making an appropriation for certain Military purposes, resolve authorizing the Governour to procure the release of Robert Shapleigh, and the same were severally finally passed.
Bill to regulate the survey of lumber in the County of Penobscot came up from the House further amended. The Senate recede from their vote passing said Bill to be engrossed adopt the amendment proposed by the House, and the question of passing said Bill to be engrossed as thus amended being ordered to be taken by yeas and nays was decided in the affirmative as follows, to wit, Yeas Messrs Burnham, Davee, Dunlap, Emerson, Eastman, Goodwin, Groton, Hodgman, Lithgow, Megquier, Merrill, Thayer, and Webb - 13. Nays Messrs. Boutelle, Hunton, Scammon, Sweat and Thompson - 5.
