Tuesday Noon. 5th Oct./52. Your letter came to hand this morning. I would not leave the Store without notifying the Firm, & without giving a [start underline] good reason. [end underline] If it don't agree with your health to be confined to the desk, then that [underline] is a good reason for leaving. As I have said before - If your [start underline] health hold good, [end underline] & they will pay your board, stay the full, & I will try to look up something for you to do by the winter, as this [underline] plan. Mother accords with me, after reading your letters, in my advice, not to leave the store without an explicit & honorable understanding with all concerned. She and [P?] think, too, as I do, about your staying till winter if [purpetly?] consistent with your health & if they will pay your board. There is a Praise & [?] meeting here to-day, at Union Chapel. The [Buchfield?] & [Turner?] [Artillery?] turn out; but few others. Hamlin speaks
