 Ordered, That the committee on accounts be instructed to enquire into the expediency of allowing to Elisha North of Westbrook the prayer of his petition submitted to the Governor and Council and by a committee of the Council recommended to be referred to the committee aforesaid of this House

On motion by Mr Hanniford of Hiram,

 Ordered That the committee on the Judiciary be instructed to enquire into the expediency of providing by law for the prevention of delay and the defeat of Justice in the prosecution and punishment of criminals by authorizing amendments in criminal processes in matter of form.

Report on the petition of the Proprietors of the Baptist Parsonage in Shapleigh, which was sent down by request of this House, was referred to the committee on the Judiciary. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill to repeal "an act to annex to town of New Portland sundry lots of land lying in New Vineyard was read three several times and passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.
