Ordered That the Governor be requested to inform this House whether the British Government have or claim possession or jurisdiction down to the line recommended by his majesty the King of the Netherlands, and whether they have or claim any possession or jurisdiction on the left bank of the St Johns River west of of the line running north from the source of the St Croix to the "Highlands".

Ordered, that the Governor be requested to inform the House whether any instructions were given to Messrs. Preble, Williams & Emery our Commissioners, or to either of them to concede or surrender any portion of the territory claimed by their State, for, or without an equivalent or consideration, conditional or otherwise, and whether either or any of said Commissioners, did propose or suggest such concession or surrender, with or without an equivalent consideration and if with, what was the equivalent additional or otherwise, which were read & on motion of the mover ordered to lie on the table - Mr. Holmes then gave notice that he should call for a consideration of the subject on Wednesday of next week.

Ordered, That the Land Agent of this State, as soon as may be, report to this House, the number of acres of land belonging to this State sold each year since the separation of Maine from Massachusetts specifying in all cases where more than one thousand acres were sold and the price per acre - and if sold by the township of half township the number & range - the amount of sales each year with the average price
