Nov 22d 1864 Rained some A.M. Cleard off P.M. cold and windy.
23d Clear and cold, quite windy threw the day. Drill A.M. and P.M.
24th Thanksgiving day. Fair and quite warm. The recruits drew their arms.
25th A fair day. Two drills. 26th " " " " " 27th " " " " " No news. 28th The 9th corps is going to move. 29th The 9th corps was relieved by the 2d Corps 30th No news of importence.
Dec 1st 1864 A fair day. No news of importence. 2d All quiet along the line 3d The cavelry went down on the Weldon R.R. and burned some rebel supplies, capture some prisoners, spiked some guns & burned a bridge, the 1st day of December. 4th Sunday. An inspection at 9 oclock A.M. I went to the 18th Me regt they are building [?] 5th Orders that we are going to be relieved 6th We were relieved in the morning and moved down near the Gerusalem Plank Road [Jerusalem Plank Road] and camped all night. I heard that my brother Prentis of the 1st Me cavelry died lately in Andersonville prison Georgia. I went to
