[page 88] and Dr. Harlow or Mr. Lakin may desire to call a witness to rebut that. They ought to have the privilege to do so. I state to you the witnesses I bring. They should have the power and opportunity to bring witnesses to rebut. That is the custom in court, and I think it has always been here. I do not desire to embarass the Committee. I ask it in fairness to both sides. Mr. Eaton: I believe that in the investigation of the affairs of this hospital which has called every year thousands of dollars from the tax payers of this state, it is the duty of this committee to grant that request, and that we ^ should ask the legislature for the power to send for persons and papers. This afternoon has led us more and more into the light of this case, and, as has been said, not only the people of this state but other states are looking upon this question. And if everything over there is all right I want to know it. If it is wrong and that wrong can be righted then I want to know that. Adjourned.
