the Ironsides -- The Monitor was on her way home when she was recked -- The idea here seems to be that there is to be an important movement made here soon --

We are ready -- Company H especially -- I leave as fine a company as ever marched. There are just 99 men in this Company -- fine looking and intelligent men - Most of them are young men from 18 to 15 They are well clothed and well drilled and I take a grean[?] deal pride in having such a company [flourish]

The Hope boys are all well. Orr Bilton is hearty and blooming -- Waterman, Dunton, Prescott Bowley [?] and Bowley 2d, Hardy, Cotton and Packard are all well

My respects to Uncle Lufton and family and Uncle George

From your brother E.A. True
