He was the one who called grandmother "Kataline"  He went hunting and also traded.  Was engaged to a Squaw up St. Francis & Otis Ellis cut him out, but afterwards deserted the woman.  In 1861 father saw her & a son of Ellis about 17 yrs old.  Ellis then married an Irish woman.
