Mr Williams, from the committee appointed to wait on the Hon. Daniel Rose President of the Senate and acting Governor of the State and inform him that a quorum of this House is assembled and are ready to be qualified, reported that the Committee had performed that service and that the acting Governor answered that he would forthwith attend in the Representatives Chamber and qualify the members agreeably to the provisions of the Constitution

Accordingly the Hon. Daniel Rose, President of the Senate and acting Governor of Maine, and the Council, attended by the Sheriff of Cumberland came in, when all the members aforenamed took and subscribed the oaths or affirmations prescribed by the Constitution of the State to qualify them for the duties of their office.
