The order of this House committing the petition of Selectmen of Surry to the joint standing committee on incorporation of parishes & other religious Societies came back from the Senate nonconcurred & committed to the joint Standing committee on Ministerial lands, in which this House now conur.

Agreeably to assignment the two houses met in convention in the Representatives Chamber for the purpose of electing two Senators to fill the vacancies at the Senate board occasioned by the resignation of Messrs. Moody & Toole - and the ballots being taken to supply the vacancy in the County of York it appeared the whole number given in was127 - necessary to a choice 64 - Alexander Rice Esq had 127 and is unanimously chosen.
