[Governors Message.] [- vacancy of Main General 1st Division] The Adjutant General having reported the death of Major Genl William Frost of the First Division, I now make known to the two houses that the office of Major General in said First Division is vacant. [Bill — Phillips Limerick Academy.] Bill to alter the name of Phillips Limerick Academy and for other purposes, being reported as truly engrossed passed to be enacted.

[Committee - to enquire if any member holds any office under the State &c] On motion of Mr Dunlap of Brunswick Ordered, That Messrs Dunlap of Brunswick Parsons of Edgecomb & Torrey of Deer Isle be a committee to institute an enquiry if any member of this House now holds under the authority of this State any Civil office of profit; with leave to report to the House a statement of facts.
